NGFS-GRASFI-INSPIRE exchange – 1st edition – Capital stranding cascades: The impact of decarbonisation on productive asset utilisation
This is the first in a series of NGFS-GRASFI-INSPIRE exchanges, designed to strengthen the connection, collaboration and research exchange between the central bankers, financial supervisors and the academic community to share and explore new and innovative research that advances the agenda on greening the financial system. New editions will occur monthly and will be co-organised by the NGFS Secretariat, INSPIRE and GRASFI (the NGFS’ two designated global research stakeholders).
In this edition, introductions and motivations will be shared by Romain Svartzman (Banque de France; NGFS secretariat), Peter Tankov (Institut Polytechnique de Paris; GRASFI) and Ilmi Granoff (ClimateWorks Foundation; INSPIRE)
Emanuele Campiglio (Vienna University of Economics and Business) will present his research “Capital stranding cascades: The impact of decarbonisation on productive asset utilisation”, co-authored by Louison Cahen-Fourot (Vienna University of Economics and Business), Elena Dawkins (Stockholm Environment Institute), Antoine Godin (Agence Française de Développement Institut für Makroökonomie und Konjunkturforschung) and Eric Kemp-Benedict (Stockholm Environment Institute).
